Care Instructions

It’s easy to wash! The fabric pockets allow you to remove armor and wash your garment like regular clothing.

Follow the steps below to ensure long lasting wear.

  1. Pull back the lip on the pockets to remove the armor. (Note: failure to remove armor may cause damage to the fabric)
  2. Wash the shells on a low temperature regular (or gentle – preferred) cycle to prevent shrinking or stretching of the fabric. Be sure not to wash garments with other garments which may have Velcro or hooks that could catch the fabric
  3. Dry shells on low temperature or hang dry
  4. When dry, re-insert the armor into their respective pockets and pull the fabric lip of the pocket over the armor. This ensures that the armor stays safely in one place during wear.

With proper care our garments have lasted our customers decades. We hope you have yours for many years to come.

If for any reason you find that you have damaged a fabric shell or need to replace a worn out fabric shell, see our fabric shells page.

Great product and provides a secure feeling while riding I received the Bohn Cool-Air Bodyguard Aventure shirt this past week and rode with it this past weekend with the weather being 85 degrees. I was able to wear a shirt with the armour under and felt comfortable and cool while riding and secure as well with the back, elbow and shoulder guards. I would recommend anyone who rides to get one of these.

Great under my military uniform I got this to wear under my military uniform. It is lightweight and really cool under my hot shirts. I don't even know it is on most of the time. I like how I can even wear this when I am not in uniform and with just a t-shirt on. Thanks for a great product. I'm going to buy the pants. I wish I did the first time so I could get the discount.

This Fits the Bill! I was looking for armor that I could wear under my long sleeved t-shirt during the summer time. This fit the bill. The only downside was that, unlike a jacket, it wasn't a simple process to take it off when making a stop during the ride because I first had to take off my t-shirt (which is usually sweaty and sticky) then unzip the garment and take it off. And of course I had to do this in the bathroom because the garment is totally sheer. For a short stop, it wasn't worth the trouble. For future rides, I think I'll wear a button down shirt since it would probably be easier to remove. But still overall, I'm very happy I bought this product.

    The Total Answer

Perfect solution for staying safe. The total answer, I have been wearing Draggin Jeans for the past couple of years and was disappointed that the CE Armor was kept in place with Velcro instead of positioning them in pockets. Your under shell is the perfect solution. Draggin Jeans to save you from Road rash and the Bohn system to protect your shoulders, elbows, knees, shins, back and hips in the event of an unplanned dismount. Perfect total solution for protection on a motorcycle, skis, or skateboard.--(Rabbi) Larry Winer

400 Mile Labor Day Ride I purchased a set earlier this year and I find that I need a second (or third) set of pants without pads, so I can swap the pads out between washings. I bought cool air mesh pants (size L), but am wondering is I should get a set of your other, more durable all-season Lycra, since these do seem a bit weak (although they are so far working well.) I rode 400 miles on Labor Day and was comfortable, but it was over 100F for half the ride. I actually feel safer wearing these with Kevlar jeans than in my Olympia riding pants. And thanks for making this stuff here in the US. --John T

Going to Australia Thanks for the quick service. The gear fits we'll hope to try it out on a ride this weekend. I am off on a 2 month outback Australia trip in May so it will be hot and I will want to wear light gear and your gear should provide the protection I will require as I am traveling by myself so cannot afford to get seriously hurt. Just hope I don't have to try it out. --Dave
