Bohn Body Armor Gear Review Program

Bohn Body Armor – Gear Review Parameters:

These guidelines outline the standards required for creators requesting free or discounted Bohn Body Armor products for review. Free product is considered compensation and must meet the professional criteria below.

Eligibility for FREE Gear

Free gear is provided only in exchange for a professional-quality review that meets all requirements in this document. Videographers will purchase product(s) at 15% discount. Once video is produced (and approved) the item will be fully refunded. This applies to 1st video only. Once a relationship is established additional review items will be offered free or at a larger discount in advance. 

  1. Production Quality
    1. Professional production quality is required
    2. Clear, high‑resolution video (1080p minimum)
    3. Proper lighting
    4. Clear audio using an external microphone or equivalent
    5. Stable, properly framed, focused footage
    6. Must be filmed in a professional setting that is visually suitable for a product review (please no kitchens, couches, cluttered rooms, pets, or unrelated distractions)
  2. Content Requirements
    1. Video length: minimum of 2 minutes and maximum of 7 minutes (for one product)
  3. Title Requirements
    1. Video title must include wording approved by Bohn Body Armor (examples below): 
      1. “Bohn Body Armor Review”
      2. “Bohn Airtex Review”
      3. “Bohn Armored Pants Review”
  4. Accuracy & Terminology
    1. All product features, materials, and protection claims must be described accurately
    2. Correct terminology must be used (CE ratings, armor placement, fabrics, intended use, etc.)
    3. Must not say “video was sponsored” or that videographer or channel is “sponsored” in any way by Bohn. You can say “product was sponsored by Bohn”, however.
  5. Required Talking Points
    1. The review must clearly show and explain:
      1. Armor types and placement
      2. Fit, sizing, and comfort notes
      3. Intended riding conditions and use
  6. Review Integrity
    1. Review must be honest and based on real‑world experience
    2. Scripted praise or misleading claims are not permitted
  7. Riding Context (Required)
    1. Motorcycle must be present and/or riding footage included (preferred)
    2. Static reviews are acceptable only if filmed in a motorcycle‑relevant environment
  8. Accuracy Review Prior to Posting
    1. Bohn Body Armor to review the video for factual accuracy only prior to posting. This does not include creative control
    2. Purpose of review is to prevent:
      1. Incorrect safety claims
      2. Misinformation regarding certifications or materials
      3. Incorrect handling, use or care of product
      4. Incorrect sizing recommendations
  9. Posting & Disclosure Requirements
    1. Video must be:
      1. Publicly posted on YouTube or other agreed platform
      2. Live for a minimum of 18 months
  10. FTC Disclosure
    1. Video description must include:
      1. “Product provided by Bohn Body Armor”
      2. A direct link to the specific product reviewed

Alternative Option: Discounted Gear Review

For creators who prefer full creative freedom, we offer a 15% discount on the product and the creator is allowed to create as they see fit.

  1. Review may be:
    1. Integrated into an existing content series, or
    2. Produced in the creator’s preferred format
    3. No pre‑review or production approval required beyond honest representation

Performance‑Based Refund Structure 

  • 100% refund if video reaches 5,000 views within 3 months
  • 50% refund if video reaches 7,500 views within 6 months

For refund:

  • Video must be free of inaccurate information
  • View count must be verified via platform analytics screenshot
  • Video must be at least 1 minute of content covering the product 

Additional Terms & Protections for both programs:

Usage Rights

  • Creator retains ownership of the full video
  • Bohn Body Armor may:
    • Share, repost, and clip the content
    • Use stills or short clips for marketing, website, ads, and social media

Timeline

  • Video must be published within 30 days of product delivery (or agreed upon date)
    Failure to publish voids free gear agreement

Restrictions

  • Free or discounted gear may not be resold, traded, or gifted
  • No Guarantee of Future Collaboration
  • Participation does not guarantee:
    • Future free gear
    • Paid partnerships
    • Long‑term sponsorships

Termination Clause

  • Bohn Body Armor reserves the right to discontinue collaboration if standards are not met
