I used to have armor in all my jackets but it never fit very well. Now I wear this shirt with all my jackets and my armor stays in place exactly where it should. If you are concerned about it being too warm, there really is no difference. Highly recommend!

Fits beautifully, great airflow and CE level 2. When on road, I pair it with a Klim Dakar (shell) jacket for extra abrasion protection. Perfect ADV setup in my opinion.
I've worn this a few times here in the southeastern USA summer - hot and humid. Airflow was great! The shirt fits well and keeps the protection in place... worn under a jersey and it works out very well!
I needed something lighter with better air flow And armor . I live in TEXAS the summer heat is brutal . Riding without armor is not something I want to do anymore , not as young as I once was . These Shirts fit the bill nicely , easy to put on and get off with the zipper front . They are well worth the price !

Fits great. I'm a lanky 6'2" & 170, & usually find an athletic cut fits best. I usually have fitment issues with length & width on normal long sleeve shirts & jackets. Material is very flexible & comfortable. The Large was a perfect fit for me with enough sleeve, & not too much girth. Pads are pretty comfortable as well.
Attended the Appalachian ADV Wildcatters Rally in July 2026 and wore the shirt on the hot summer days. Worked well and kept me protected in my "adventures".
At age 66 I realized that falling down is not an option. Day one in wearing this on an IDBDR trail I took a spill, I'm SOOO glad I was wearing this armor (as well as their lower undergarment body armor). I landed on my elbow and shoulder and came out unharmed (a bit sore in the following days lol). The armor did its job. This armored shirt breaths even better than I thought was possible, I typically wear it under a light jacket and leave the zipper down about 1/2 way or without anything over it and I'd almost swear that I'm wearing an air-conditioner lol The armor is pliable and unrestrictive to movement and is actually SOOO comfortable that I don't even realize I'm wearing it. It's CE 2 rated armor and has elbow shoulder chest and back protection. It's great "peace of mind" protection that works (I accidently proved it ha ha) and is comfortable to wear as well. this is not stiff heavy uncomfortable sweaty maximum protection gear, it's "peace of mind protection" that functions well. Its is extremely comfortable. I rode around in 111 degree ( yes 111) heat and the shirt felt like AC as long as I was moving. It truly feels like you are wearing nothing at all.
It has been in the low 90’s in Colorado. I have used the armored shirt several times and can say it is a game changer. I have used it with a lightweight long sleeve shirt under it and with a short sleeve. Low to mid 90’s and it makes the ride comfortable. If it gets hot where you ride, this is a must have! I am planning on removing the armor from the jackets I wear for some cooler mornings and wear this underneath so I can remove and stow my riding jacket easily once the temps rise.
Went to the BMW MOA Rally in Vermont not anticipating the Tropical weather. Bought the zip up Adventure Shirt with a split chest plate and it was THE solution! Replaced my heavy suit jacket with it for the duration of the Rally riding and could not have been happier! Love the quality and perfect fit not to mention the substantial protection it offers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I wore this shirt in a dual sport event in PA, on a bike that wasn't set up well for that event (rather slick front tire). Consequently, I crashed 6 times in that rocky terrain. I didn't have any injuries from those falls at all. The shirt was also comfortable throughout the event, when not falling. I highly recommend this shirt.

I just received this Airtex Adventure Shirt and rode 200 miles in it today (including 100 miles on a very windy expressway). It performed superbly. - I'm 5'7" and 170 pounds. I wear a 42 jacket. I purchased the size large and found that it's true to the sizing chart. - It is remarkably comfortable. I didn't feel as though I was wearing armor. It felt just like a shirt. - It holds in place without constricting me. I removed my level 1 armor from my jacket, and I used this shirt instead. I was really pleased with the way the shirt stayed in place while the jacket was free to move comfortably. - It provides excellent ventilation. I arrived home without being sweaty, and the lightweight polyester T-shirt I wore underneath felt fresh when I arrived home, as well. I didn't expect this. In fact, I assumed it would create moisture...it did not. - The zippered front is versatile. It can be worn open during a break. I stopped for an hour and just unzipped the shirt. I was surprised how comfortable it is. All in all, this is an amazing product, and I fully recommend it. I also own the Bohn armored shorts and long undergarment, and I've been happy with those, as well. I love the Bohn armor. It's well positioned, and it's good quality.
I was a little leery about the ability to vent, but it was cooling as a regular long sleeve t shirt. It fits perfectly for a large. I’ve tried other armer and jackets with little ventilation and wasn’t good for warm to hot temperatures here in Florida. I highly recommend this armoured shirt for along term rider.

Contacted Bohn Armor with my measurements and got response back with recommended size for shirt. Tried on the shirt and had a perfect fit with shirt being snug, comfortable, and armor held in proper place.
Purchased Airtex Adventure top with armor and couldn’t be happier! Have been able to wear on a few rides now and impressed with the quality materials and great fit. Live in a very hot area and the ventilation is wonderful. Armor is top notch and I’ve upgraded some of my older equipment. The shirt is very comfortable and fits well. Due to the fact the armor must fit snugly against your skin to work properly, at times riding in the sun for lengthy periods the back armor can get quite warm though not uncomfortable. I'm very happy with my purchase.
I've been using Bohn products for years. I hit a deer the other day on a gravel road and had top and bottoms on and they saved my bacon.
I wanted to share some feedback on my recent experience—it’s been a bit rough, but I hope it’s helpful. Prior to an electric unicycle racing event I was set to take part in, I decided to level up my armor and order this shirt w/chest protection. I followed the sizing chart closely and ordered a size small armored shirt, but it ended up being too loose. That order took longer than expected to arrive, which left me with a little time to order a smaller size. The week before my racing event, immediately after realizing the size small was too large, I placed a second order for an XS shirt and added medium shorts. I initially selected expedited shipping, but forgot to reapply it after adjusting the order to include the shorts so I contacted customer service for help. Customer service was very responsive and at first, I appreciated the extra attention. A rep noted the size difference between the top and bottom, sharing that it was odd to have such a sharing that it was odd to order a much larger size on the bottom than the top. Although I had followed Bohn’s provided sizing chart to the T, I was stressed about not knowing for sure what size would fit and I appreciates that the rep was trying to make sure I had the right fit. However, things got complicated from there. I was sent shells in different sizes, and the XS shirt I had ordered arrived without tags or armor—essentially a sample or floor model. It also didn’t include the spine protector for the XS. This was a critical error that made the shirt unwearable in the event I had purchased it for. I was told to transfer the armor from the size small, but the spine protector didn’t fit properly, which warped the jacket and stressed the seams. Though the correct part was eventually sent, it didn’t arrive in time for the race I had planned to attend. I also noticed that the sleeves on the shirt don’t have thumb holes or any way to secure the elbow pads. They tend to shift easily, which makes them less reliable in the event of a fall. Wearing another shell over it might help, but that would cancel out the breathability feature that initially drew me to the shirt. Additionally, although I ordered medium shorts, I received a large shell instead. So now I’ll be returning two shirts and a short shell I didn’t order. I really appreciated the effort to help with sizing, but in the end, if my original request had simply been fulfilled with a new, complete item, I would’ve been able to wear the gear I needed. Thank you for taking the time to read this—I hope it’s helpful in improving future customer experiences.
Rode from Charlotte to Gulf Shores Alabama and back waring the hi-vis armored shirt in 95⁰ heat. The shirt helped me stay cool and protected. As an added bonus, my wife says it makes me appear slimmer! I love this shirt!

In the photo I'm wearing the Adventure Jacket with the split chest armor. I'm 6'2 and 175 lbs and the large fits perfectly. The armor is excellent and I love that it has removable chest protection and a zipper. It flows air like I'm wearing a Tshirt. What you can't see is that I am also wearing the Cool Air Mesh pants in a tall size. I had the original size and I made them work but was very happy when they began to offer the tall sizes. They are perfect for my 35-36" inseam. I can't say enough good things about Bohn customer service or Bohn products. Btw I'm 78 years young and that is my beloved TW200 just back from a grocery run. 😊 One of four in my stable.
I did an exchange for the color I wanted. Good customer service quick and easy. The fit is really good and im confident the pads are in the right place. I wear a Riderwharehouse offroad shirt over it and its a good match. I would give 5 stars but only if I had tested it in a get-off and it all worked out as it should.
Great quality and very comfortable to wear, but I question the amount of protection provided. The shoulder pad location is not ideal if you tuck and roll after getting ejected from your bike. The other issue is the stretch and sturdiness of the material. The pads can move around or even be torn off. They may protect you from the initial impact, but not the additional impacts that usually follow if going down at speed. I would recommend body armor with a jersey over it for summer riding, but if you’re willing to sacrifice some protection for comfort the Bohn ADV shirts are a great choice!

These folks make great products. I actually used this under my Jersey in a Hare Scramble the ither day. The race was pretty muddy so the pace was a bit slower. Be that as it may, I felt protected and i thought the Body Armor offered better movement than a moto chest protector.
length of the elbow pad that extends down to the forearm seems to be too long. Interferes with the mobility of my arm.
Magnificent. Material and stitching are top notch. Kristen fitted me and guided me to the larger shoulder pads, which was the right decision. Inder Cordura, this is a requirement, as the pads stay with the bones instead of the Cordura shell. Armor is really good and comfy. Two piece chest protector is forgettable...like you'll never know it is there protecting you! the armor all being vented is a Bohn-send. Really great piece of gear that should last a LONG time.
